Aliyu Abdullahi Hassan

Aliyu Abdullahi Hassan is a highly accomplished Medical Imaging Professional and Chief Radiographer at Excellent Diagnostic and Cardiology Clinic, and Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH), Kano, Nigeria, with over 12 years of progressive experience in diagnostic imaging, patient care, quality management, and clinical service delivery.

He obtained a Bachelor of Radiography (B.Rad.) degree from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Medical Imaging from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka. He also holds Postgraduate Diplomas in Medical Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), and Radiotherapy from the Institute of Radiography, a division of the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).

Throughout his career, Aliyu has acquired extensive expertise in Computed Tomography (CT), Medical Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Conventional Radiography, image analysis and critique, patient care, and the implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) protocols. He is committed to ensuring high standards of diagnostic accuracy, radiation safety, operational efficiency, and patient-centered care.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is actively engaged in medical imaging research, professional development, and the advancement of evidence-based radiographic practice. His research interests include diagnostic ultrasound, computed tomography, radiation protection, quality assurance in medical imaging, and healthcare service improvement.
